Have you ever felt like you don’t even want to bother with accessories because you don’t want to go through them to pick ONE that you would wear?
This problem is especially worse for my bracelets. I totally think it’s time to do something about that?
-some cardboard tubes/cores that I saved from gift wrapping papers rolls (These are the thick, sturdy ones).
-A candle stick
-some marking tools
-some cutting tools
-1 wine cork
-1 metal screw
-hot glue gun
I measured the tubes and cut them to size, depending on how many bracelet you want it to hold. Make sure it’s can stay balanced on your candle stick too!
The I traced the shape of the candle stick onto the tube
Cut it out
I took out the cork and made sure it fit into the candle holder just like a candle would.
I also put paper tape around where I cut to reinforce it.
This part is hard to explain but the picture should help a lot. I basically put the screw through the tube and right onto the cork that was already sitting on the candle stick. This surprisingly held everything together very nicely.
Next, I picked out some scrap fabric (I would love to have some some black velvet but I found this animal print instead, oh well)
Measured and cover the whole tube using the hot glue gun.
The weather is definitely getting much cooler and we’re slowly bring fall/winter into our home. I said slowly because as much as I love the holiday season, I don’t do too well with the cold weather :-/ I have already added ankle boots, riding boots and a down feather jacket to my wardrobe to get ready for the winter in NY. I will share those items with you in another post. As for our home, Hubbie and I are getting into the cold weather mood…
We got the fire place going
We added little decorating details to some existing places in the apartment…
See how I made those candle holders here. Adding those cute little pinecones next to them automatically screams Autumn! Don’t you think?
Some dry foliage is also lovely
We found this beautiful wreath at Michaels, it was plain, so I got a branch of berries, broke it apart and added it to the wreath…
…it’s sitting pretty right on top of our fire place
Our Christmas tree is on its way and we can’t wait to decorate it :)
