Step 1: Apply base coat to protect your nails
Step 2: Paint your nail with one of the neutral colors that would act as paper, for a more vintage look, use colors with more brown tone in it. I used 2 coats.
Step 3: Let your nails dry completely.
Step 4: cut out some newspapers rectangles larger than your nails. If you want the text to be straight on your nails, make sure that at least the top line is straight)
Step 5: Poor some rubbing alcohol into a small container, enough to soak the entire nail in.
Step 6: Soak your nail (one at a time) into the alcohol for a few seconds
Step 7: Immediately apply the pre-cut strip of newspapers onto the nail and press down to transfer the image
Step 8: Repeat Step 6 & 7 to all your nails and put on your top coat

Tips: To avoid some ghost images of the actual text as you see here on my ring finger, when applying the newspaper on top of the alcohol soaked nail, be sure not to move. Just press down firmly and carefully peel it off after a few seconds.
