By the way, I just started a vlog channel on YouTube. Check it out if you’d like and it’d make my day if you subscribe! Thanks!

Another review and demonstration of product from Born Pretty Store. I reviewed the 12pcs Nail Art Foil Gold & Silver Decoration Set. Then, as a bonus, I showed you how to do a DIY gold leaf manicure. Check out the video here.

Don’t forget to use the code NHHW10 for a 10% off site wide. Sorry if it’s annoying but i keep reminding you guys to use the code because if the code is used often enough, Born Pretty Store will sponsor a giveaway for my viewers/subscribers. Just want you guys to take advantage of the opportunity!

Mint, gold and fuchsia!

Going back to that time when I came up with this mint and fuchsia combination and thought it was so beautiful. I even had a video tutorial if you’d like to see. I “accidentally” came up this this design recently and it has those 2 gorgeous colors together. I did not have the look all planned out, but i love the way it turned out! Hope you’ll like it too!

Polishes used:

  1. Sally Hansen’s Golden-I
  2. Self sticking Ring Reinforcements
  3. Essie’s Mint Candy Apple
  4. Fuchsia Striper (no name, sorry!) Similar here!
  5. Seche Vite top coat

We finally put our tree up. Yay! I usually put it up on Thanksgiving weekend. It’s kindda late this year but it’s still good! I wanted to wait for my busy hubbie to finally have time to join me. It was worth the wait! ;-)

Come watch my hubbie and I put it together. If you wanna see how i went solo and put the tree up myself last year, then go here

Feel free to share pics of your tree to spread the holiday spirit! :)

DIY feather nails

1. Paint all nails with gold base color (here I used Sally Hansen’s Golden-I)

2. Choose a deeper/darker color for stamping. I’m using deep plum and dark green. The jewel tone colors really bring out the gold. I used Cheeky stamping plate D. If you want to learn more about the plate, watch this video where I give my first impression on the product.

3. Top coat and enjoy!

Swatch of Nailtini’s polish in Millionaire. This is the polish that I got in November Ipsy’s Glambag. I’m putting this glitter polish over some basic colors you could use for the Holiday season. Which look do you like the most?

Swatch of Y.B color in “Starry Meteor”. These pictures I took do not do this polish justice. It’s 10x more beautiful in real life. You might see it again many more times, maybe on a darker background. However, this gorgeous polish reminds me of Tenia Versicolor because of it resembles Tenia’s microscopic appearance :-) Can’t help it! Anyways, hope you like the swatch!

Inspired by stiletto nails. Doesn’t this design give you the illusion of having stiletto nails? :-)

Home decor: DIY Gold Chevron Tray from Ikea’s Barbar Tray

You probably have seen this beautiful ceramic white and gold zag tray everywhere. I know I have. I first saw it here, on Design sponge. It was one of the holiday limited edition pieces from Susan of Up in the air somewhere. It was handmade, it was ceramics, the stripes were real gold leaves, it was beautiful, it was glamorous and it was $98. So you know me, if I can’t afford to buy, I DIY.

Here are the materials i used:

  1. White paint
  2. Gold paint
  3. Masking tape
  4. A tray (mine was the Ikea’s Barbar tray we already have)
  5. Patience

I have a video instruction here for you to come watch and hangout with me. Here are some before and after pictures. I also use the same concept on a metal planter.

Started painting

One coat

All taped and sprayed

All done!

I’m saving these gold sprayed tape stripes by the way.

Same went for the little planter. Painted in white…

Taped…

Sprayed…

Look how beautiful!

Here they are together…

Hope you enjoy and hope it inspire you to make something beautiful!
