Hey guys,

This is a the first of of Valentine’s day manicures for this year! I’m not sure how but we’re starting off with a simple but dark manicure instead of the usual cheerful pink hearts :-) We’ll get to the more traditional Valentine’s designs but I just followed my creative process. Hope you guys like the fresh and different take on this Valentine’s design. I think this could be quite sexy paired with a little black dress and red pump? Let me know what you think! Thanks so much for watching!

Hey guys,

Another quick and easy but very glamorous manicure for ya! This design is inspired by the Essie’s Sticker and Stones nail stickers called “a bubbly cabochon angora pewter”

I used the following polishes to achieve the look (with base coat and top coat of course!):

1. Wetnwild Megalast polish in “Bite the bullet” (See swatch of “Bite the bullet” here)

2. Loreal’s Silver Glitter Polish in “Sparklicious” (See swatch of “Sparklicious” here)

Hope you enjoy the tutorial!

DIY upholstering wooden bar stools

Hey guys,
We have these bar stools that are good looking but not too comfy. So I decided to cover the seat and the back rest with foamy cushions for extra comfort. Watch how I do it in a few easy steps. Hope this inspires you to alter your furniture to make them better!

Click here for my other upholstering project. I spruced up our dining tables and chairs! :)

In this video, you’ll learn how to transfer freehand designs onto nails or making your own nail stickers. This technique is great for doing complicated nail designs using your non dominant hand so you can have beautiful designs on both hands without needing help. Hope you enjoy watching the video.

Home decor: DIY Gold Chevron Tray from Ikea’s Barbar Tray

You probably have seen this beautiful ceramic white and gold zag tray everywhere. I know I have. I first saw it here, on Design sponge. It was one of the holiday limited edition pieces from Susan of Up in the air somewhere. It was handmade, it was ceramics, the stripes were real gold leaves, it was beautiful, it was glamorous and it was $98. So you know me, if I can’t afford to buy, I DIY.

Here are the materials i used:

  1. White paint
  2. Gold paint
  3. Masking tape
  4. A tray (mine was the Ikea’s Barbar tray we already have)
  5. Patience

I have a video instruction here for you to come watch and hangout with me. Here are some before and after pictures. I also use the same concept on a metal planter.

Started painting

One coat

All taped and sprayed

All done!

I’m saving these gold sprayed tape stripes by the way.

Same went for the little planter. Painted in white…

Taped…

Sprayed…

Look how beautiful!

Here they are together…

Hope you enjoy and hope it inspire you to make something beautiful!
